HongKong Hotels

Hong Kong has many good quality hotels catering to the wide range of tourists that visit. Location is not vitally important due to the highly efficient transport system, though you will find most hotels are in the main entertainment districts of Kowloon and the north of Hong Kong Island. Some hotels may provide transport to and from the airport for their guests.

You need to consider that Hong Kong is a booming international tourist city and so hotel prices may be higher than expected for an Asian city. In addition a 10% service charge and 3% official tax are generally added to your hotel bill.

There is a wealth of luxurious hotels for those who can afford the top-quality accommodation, offering amazing views and impressive service. The Peninsula Hotel is probably the most famous, offering a truly sumptuous experience in the heart of Kowloon. Most of the top-grade hotels are situated in TsimShaTsui and Central, and with a starting price of HK$2500 per night.

The middle grade hotels (HK$1500-2500) can be found all over Hong Kong, with advanced facilities and good quality service and represent fairly good value for money. Some of these hotels also provide family style rooms.

Note:

Generally, the hotels in Hong Kong do not provide slippers and bathroom products. The sockets are English style sockets, so you will probably need to bring an adapter or ask the hotel staff for help.
