Since the destinations in Anhui are lying rather far apart with little convenient
transport in between, it is not a good idea to link all three together in a single
itinerary. Of the three, the
Yellow
Mountain and Jiuhuashan
are definitely better worth visiting than Hefei, unless you are
pretty interested in the Three Kingdoms Period in Chinese history. Day One and Two: You may start your Anhui tour with the magnificent
Yellow Mountain, which is easily
accessible from quite a number of cities in China by plane, by train, or, by bus, if you
set off from Shanghai. You may simple follow the
Yellow Mountain itinerary we set
for you, although you needn"t take it simply as a weekend trip. On the evening of Day Two,
rather than heading back to Shanghai, you have to stay in a hotel in Tunxi. Day Three: Early in the morning, you can take a bus to Tangkou, from
where you should take a tourist bus directly to Jiuhuashan via Taiping
Lake (the bus will be carried by a ferry). The entire leg will take around 5
hours and cost no more than RMB50. You are expected to arrive in Jiuhuashan no later than
early afternoon, meaning that you have got much time to restore enough energy at a hotel for the ensuing
climbing. Day Four (or one more day if you do not want a tiresome day): Simply follow the
itinerary we set in the sight
overview. You may opt to either conclude your tour in Anhui or take a bus to Hefei, the provincial
capital. As to the latter option, you are expected to get to Hefei at night. Hotels in Hefei are not
difficult to find. Optional Day Five: In the morning, take a taxi to the Mingjiao Temple and then walk to the
nearby Leisure Ford Park. After lunch, first pay tribute
to the most uncorrupted top official in China, Bao Zheng at Baohe Park and then conclude your
one-day city tour with a visit to the Provincial
Museum. |
