"No travellers to Fujian should come back with empty hands"; this common saying
tells of the abundance of specialties made in Fujian. The ideal geographic and
the unique topographic location have not only given the province a nice subtropical
climate, but also an abundance of specialist products. Fujian is the home of many China"s treasured fruits such as litchi, longan,
pineapple and durian as well as production of high quality tea such as the famed
Black Dragon Tea (Wulong cha) and Wuyishan"s Yan Tea (Wuyi yan
cha). In the coastal port cities, various exotic sea products are enjoyed
by many travellers with starfish and dried seahorses being popularly bought
specialties. In the artifacts and presents line, puppets of Quanzhou, paper
umbrellas of Fuzhou, lacquerware of Fuzhou and Shoushan stone carvings are all
famous. The big cities like Xiamen and Fuzhou boast a lot of big department
