Guangdong Climate

Facing the South China Sea, Guangdong province has a subtropical-tropical monsoon climate. The summers can be expected to be long and unpleasantly hot and wet. Typhoons hit this province frequently in summer and autumn and especially in the Pearl River Delta snowfall is extremely rare.

Average annual temperature: 19-26ºC.(20ºC for spring, 28ºC for summer, 25ºC for autumn and 12ºC for winter.)
Annual rainfall: 1,500-2,000mm. The rainy season is from April to September.
Yearly sunshine: 1,700-2,200 Hours.
Best time to visit: Spring and autumn.
