We suggest Qinhuangdao
and Chengde as the two
stops when you travel in Hebei. If you have concluded your visit to Dalian before that, the first
stop will be Qinhuangdao,
since the most likely way for you to enter into this province is by water.
Day 1: Arrive in Qinhuangdao,
then take bus to Shanhaiguan. Check in
to a local hotel, then
visit the First Pass Under Heaven and the Old Dragon Head in the afternoon. In the
evening, check out the town of Shanhaiguan.
Day 2: A whole day trip to the Yansai Lake. Afternoon or late evening
return to Shanhaiguan.
Day 3: In the morning, visit the Mengjiangnu
Temple, having checked out of your hotel. In the afternoon, take bus to Beidaihe, check in at local hotel. In the
evening, try the delicious local sea food. If you want to catch the sunrise on the beach
(around 04:30-05:30), you might want to stay out all night (cold and miserable?).
Day 4: In the morning, visit one of the local parks. Then in the afternoon, relax on the
beach. Remain in your local
hotel.
Day 5: Bus or train trip to Chengde. Visit the Temple of Universal Happiness and/or the Temple for Distant Security in the
afternoon. Stay into a Chengde
Hotel.
Day 6: In the morning, visit the Summer
Villa, with the Putuozongsheng Temple
or the Xumifushou Temple in the
afternoon. Stay overnight in another local hotel.
Day 7: In the morning, the Temple of
Universal Peace will be your final stop in Chengde and in the
afternoon, take transport
on to another destination. |
